মেহেরুন্নেছা বালিকা উচ্চ বিদ্যালয় মৌলভীবাজার জেলার রাজনগর উপজেলার একটি ঐতিহ্যবাহী ও নারীশিক্ষাবান্ধব শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠান, যা ১৯৬৫ ইং সনে প্রতিষ্ঠিত হয়। বিদ্যালয়টির প্রতিষ্ঠাতা ছিলেন এক অসাধারণ দৃষ্টিভঙ্গিসম্পন্ন বিদূষী নারী জনাবা মেহেরুন্নেছা খানম। তিনি তখনকার সমাজে নারীদের শিক্ষা থেকে বঞ্চিত থাকার বাস্তবতা উপলব্ধি করে উপজেলা সদরের দক্ষিণ খারপাড়ায় নারী শিক্ষার আলো জ্বালানোর সংকল্প গ্রহণ করেন।
তাঁর দূরদর্শী চিন্তা ও অদম্য সাহসিকতায় গড়ে ওঠা এ প্রতিষ্ঠানটি অল্প সময়ের মধ্যেই স্থানীয় মানুষের মধ্যে নারী শিক্ষার গুরুত্ব সম্পর্কে সচেতনতা সৃষ্টি করে।
শুরুতে নানা প্রতিকূলতা থাকলেও, তিনি পরিবারের সহযোগিতা ও সমাজের সচেতন মানুষদের সমর্থন নিয়ে বিদ্যালয়টি এগিয়ে নেন। আজ এই বিদ্যালয় শুধুমাত্র একটি শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠান নয়, বরং দক্ষিণ খারপাড়াসহ গোটা রাজনগর উপজেলায় নারী ক্ষমতায়ন, নেতৃত্ব বিকাশ এবং নৈতিক শিক্ষার বাতিঘর হিসেবে বিবেচিত।
বর্তমানে বিদ্যালয়টিতে দক্ষ শিক্ষকমন্ডলী,আধুনিক প্রযুক্তিনির্ভর পাঠদান, সুসজ্জিত বিদ্যালয় গ্রন্থাগার ও তথ্য কেন্দ্র, বিজ্ঞানাগার, আইসিটি ল্যাব এবং শিক্ষার্থীবান্ধব পরিবেশ রয়েছে। এখানকার শিক্ষার্থীরা স্থানীয় ও জাতীয় পর্যায়ে বিভিন্ন প্রতিযোগিতা ও পরীক্ষায় কৃতিত্ব অর্জন করে চলেছে।

Meherunnessa Girls’ High School is a prestigious and women-friendly educational institution located in Rajnagar Upazila of Moulvibazar District. It was established in the year 1965 by a visionary and highly educated woman, Begum Meherunnessa Khanam. At a time when girls were largely deprived of education, she recognized the need for change and took a bold initiative to spread the light of education among women in the southern part of Kharpara, the heart of Rajnagar.
With her far-sighted vision and unwavering determination, she laid the foundation of this school, which soon began to raise awareness about the importance of girls’ education among the local community.
Despite facing numerous challenges in the early days, she advanced the institution with the support of her family and the encouragement of socially conscious individuals. Today, this school is not just an academic institution; it stands as a beacon of women’s empowerment, leadership development, and moral education throughout South Kharpara and the wider Rajnagar region.
